1. Manoj Tiwari
Bhojpuri actor and singer Manoj Tiwari started his political career from Uttar Pradesh. He contested his first election in 2009 from Gorakhpur seat on behalf of Samajwadi Party. But he had to face defeat from Yogi Adityanath. After this, after taking entry in BJP, he defeated AAP candidate from North East Delhi in 2014. Manoj Tiwari has been MP for three times.

2. Ravi Kishan
Ravi Kishan’s name is included next in this list. For the first time, he contested elections from Jaunpur in 2014 on Congress ticket. But here he had to face a crushing defeat. Later he joined BJP and now he is MP from Gorakhpur.

3. Dinesh Lal Yadav
Well-known star of Bhojpuri industry Dinesh Lal Yadav alias Nirahua has also tried his luck in politics. In 2019, he contested his first election on a ticket from BJP but lost to Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav. After this, he won the by-election held in 2022. But in the Lok Sabha elections held in 2024, he once again had to face defeat from Azamgarh seat.

4. Kunal Singh
Kunal Singh, a prominent actor of Bhojpuri industry, has also tried his luck in politics. In 2014, he contested his first election from Patna Sahib on a Congress ticket. But BJP candidate Shatrughan Sinha defeated him.

5. Khesari Lal Yadav
Khesari Lal Yadav is also a big name in Bhojpuri film industry. With his talent he has achieved a different position and now he has also entered politics. Bhojpuri star contested elections from Chapra seat on RJD ticket but had to face defeat. Chhoti Kumari of BJP has won the election from here.

6. Ritesh Pandey

Singer Ritesh Pandey contested elections from Karghar seat on Jansuraj Party ticket. Prashant Kishore fielded Bhojpuri star from Karghar seat with great hopes but he had to face defeat.
