Now, Republic Day celebrations to start out from January 23 to incorporate Netaji’s beginning anniversary

Republic Day celebrations will start yearly from January 23 as a substitute of January 24 to incorporate the beginning anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, authorities sources instructed The Indian Express Saturday.

“This is in line with the Modi government’s focus on celebrating/commemorating important aspects of our history and culture,” sources mentioned.

The four-day-long celebrations start on January 24 and finish on January 29 with the Beating Retreat Ceremony.

The Narendra Modi-led authorities had earlier introduced that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s beginning anniversary can be celebrated as Parakram Divas.

Netaji was one of the crucial outstanding figures of the Indian freedom battle. He was born on January 23, 1897, in Cuttack, Odisha.

The different such days, observance of which have develop into an annual affair, are:

August 14 — Partition Horrors Remembrance Day

October 31Ekta Divas or National Unity Day (The beginning anniversary of Sardar Patel)

November 15Janjatiya Gaurav Divas (The birthday anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda)

November 26 — Constitution Day

December 26Veer Baal Divas (A tribute to the 4 Sahibzadas)
