Opioid disaster: US drug giants reach $26bn settlement

McKesson, Cardinal Health and AmerisourceBergen have been accused of ignoring shipments of painkillers being diverted to unlawful channels, whereas J&J allegedly downplayed the the danger of dependancy in its advertising supplies for opioids, which the agency stopped making in 2020. All firms have denied the allegations.
