Paatal Lok Season 2 Review: Hathi Ram Choudhary says to Ansari, who was once his junior and has now become a senior ACP – Sir, I can call you Ansari for 2 minutes, and then says look Ansari, if you think it is right then neither is it right, whether it is me or No matter what anyone says, no matter what else anyone says, this is an amazing series. From this series we can learn how to make a great series without any fuss. Well, along with that line, Hathi Ram 2 also abuses, but that cannot be given in this review.
And then Ansari says, Sir, call me Ansari in private, this chemistry is the life of this series. This series has arrived on Amazon Prime Video. It has 8 episodes and each episode is of about 40 minutes and with this Prime Video has made a great start to 2025 and has shown that when it comes to the next season of web series, they do wonders. After Family Man, Panchayat, Citadel, Made in Heaven, Bandish Bandits, the next season of Paatal Lok is also amazing.
Story
Hathi Ram Chaudhary i.e. Jaideep Ahlawat is still an Inspector in Jamnapar police station. But his junior Ansari Ishvak Singh has become ACP here. A murder takes place before an important summit in Nagaland. The matter is sensitive. Ansari investigates and takes Hathi Ram Chaudhary along with him and to know what happens next, as well as what happens in their personal lives, you will have to watch this series.
how is the series
The first season of Paatal Lok came in 2020 and now its second season which came in 2025 is amazing. Often things get messed up in the second season but Prime Video probably does wonders in this case. This series has brought back the feel of Paatal Lok. It moves at its own pace. Keeping in mind the sensitivities of Nagaland, no useless Heropanti, no loud music, no unnecessary sex scenes.
Yes, there are abuses, but without them, how would Paatal Lok seem like Paatal Lok. In this series, the investigation goes on in its own way and takes the viewer along with it, without caring about anyone and this is the specialty of this series that its quality has improved further in 5 years. This series shows that Prime Video has created an amazing series through this which can be made season after season.
acting
Jaideep Ahlawat is one of the most brilliant actors of today’s times. Sometimes I feel that he has charisma like Irfan. Here he looks the same as he did 5 years ago. Of course Hathi Ram Choudhary, who wins hearts with his style, body language and dialogues, his work here is amazing, he is not Dabangg Singham or Simmba but he is even better because he is Hathi Ram Choudhary.
Even though he himself is from Haryana, he has captured this character in such an amazing way that you become his admirer. Ishwak Singh cannot be praised enough, becoming the boss of his senior and still giving him the same respect is an amazing job, Gul Panag’s work is fantastic. Contrary to her image, she has breathed life into this character. Tilotama Shome has done complete justice to the character of Nagaland police officer. She is solid in that role, Nagesh Kukunoor’s work is tremendous, all the other actors have done amazing work.
direction
The direction of Avinash Arun Dhawre is praiseworthy. He kept the soul alive in Hades. Was not impressed by the different content that came in last 5 years. The writing of the show is also amazing.
Overall, Prime Video has started the year with a bang, definitely watch it.
