Karachi:
The Pakistan Business Council (PBC) has sent a 10 -point agenda for the budget, including a reduction in import tariffs to the federal government.
The Pakistan Business Council has suggested to the government to increase foreign exchange reserves through gross national production, to reduce the import tariff of raw materials to increase domestic exports.
The PBC has asked the government to impose a profit instead of a business turnover, facilitate Zero rating GST to local suppliers and regular update to the Export Facility Scheme.
The proposals include a reduction in tax rate on salaried employees, demand for reform of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) tax system for expanding the tax net.
The Pakistan Business Council has said that immediate privatization of government -owned government agencies, including power distribution companies, should be privatized, adding the salaries of government employees to the feast and reduction of additional troops.
