Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah laid the foundation of Pakistan and Mao Zedong laid the foundation of modern China.
Pakistan and China’s all-weather strategic partnership is reaching new heights, Pakistan and China can work together for global peace and prosperity.
He expressed these views while meeting prominent Chinese artist, sculptor Master Yuan Shekham and addressing the unveiling ceremony of his statues on December 25 and December 26 on the occasion of the birthday of the Quaid-e-Azam and Mao Zedong.
Chairman Mao Zedong’s niece Madam Ma Xia Chung was also present on this occasion. The Prime Minister thanked and paid tribute to Master Yuan for creating the magnificent sculptures of the Quaid-e-Azam and Chairman Mao.
He said this event is historic, the statues of the two leaders are a testament to Master Yuan’s skill. Historical relations between Pakistan and China are based on mutual respect and trust, both China and Pakistan are custodians of ancient historical heritage.
Our civilizations are thousands of years old. During his visit to China in June this year, he agreed to visit the Terra Cotta Warriors Museum in Xi’an, which has a very impressive historical heritage.
He said that Pakistan is the abode of the oldest history of the Indus Valley. Mohenjo Daro and Harappa have thousands of years of human history. Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang’s visit to Pakistan this year strengthened the ideal relations between the two countries.
Cooperation in the fields of defense and defense production and agriculture from CPEC continues to improve, the first batch of agricultural graduates from Pakistan will soon leave for China for training and research in Chinese agricultural universities.
The Prime Minister described the statues of the founder of Pakistan and Chairman Mao as precious gifts.
Earlier, Yuan presented Shahbaz Sharif with the statues of the two leaders made by him.
Apart from this, Shahbaz Sharif went to the embassy of Azerbaijan and met the ambassador of Azerbaijan.
He expressed regret over the accident that happened to the Azerbaijani aircraft and the loss of precious lives in it. He said that in this hour of sorrow, the government of Pakistan and the people of Pakistan express complete solidarity with the brothers and sisters of Azerbaijan.
