Pakistan’s Permanent Mission in the United Nations has informed the UN Security Council that Pakistan protects its right to defend its defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter.
The mission made it clear that Pakistan has the full right to respond to any kind of aggression.
The Pakistani mission said in its statement that in view of recent events, Pakistan is informing the international community of its position to ensure its defense under international law.
The statement added that Pakistan wants peace, but reserves all necessary steps to protect its sovereignty and regional integrity.
