Pakistan Imran Khan News: The controversy has been increasing over a letter written to Army Chief General Aseem Munir on behalf of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan. Rana Sanaullah, who is a advisor on public and political affairs of the Prime Minister, has strongly criticized this letter. He said that the purpose of Imran Khan is to create a division between the army and the public.
Imran Khan sent a six -point letter from the jail to the army chief, in which he questioned issues like electoral fraud, money laundering, and judicial freedom. In the letter, Khan criticized the PTI workers for allegations of terrorism and use of force and demanded a change in policies from the army chief. Rana Sanaullah questioned the validity of this letter of Imran Khan, saying, “Where are these letters coming from? If Imran Khan wants to join the political struggle, he should do so in Parliament.”
Comment on appointments of judges
Sanaullah also criticized PTI on the issue of judiciary, especially for the appointments of judges. He asked whether the transfer of judges was unconstitutional and expressed concern over the questions raised by PTI. He said that PTI had opposed the appointments of Justice Babur Sattar and Justice Tariq Jahangiri.
Controversy over the transfer of judges
Recently, the transfer of three judges in the Islamabad High Court has also sparked a debate in the legal fraternity. Pakistan Chief Justice Yahya Afridi described these transfers as constitutional and positive steps, but this decision was also criticized. Judges from Sindh, Balochistan, and Lahore were transferred to the Islamabad High Court, including Justice Sarfaraz Dogar, Justice Khadim Hussain Sumro, and Justice Muhammad Asif.
