Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti: Pilgrims from all over the country are coming to Ajmer Sharif on the occasion of 813th Urs Mubarak. On this special occasion, 89 pilgrims from Pakistan also came to offer a chadar at the tomb of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. In this event, pilgrims from Pakistan prayed for religious faith and prosperity.
A delegation of pilgrims along with an official of the Pakistani High Commission reached Ajmer Sharif on Wednesday (January 8) and offered a traditional chadar at the shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. During this time, Second Secretary of Pakistan High Commission, Tariq Masroof was also with him. This delegation participated in Urs Mubarak of Ajmer Sharif under the protocol of religious visit between India and Pakistan.
Pakistani pilgrims welcomed with prayers
On this religious occasion of Urs, the pilgrims from Pakistan were welcomed by the members of Anjuman Moiniya Fakhriya Chistiya Khuddam Khwaja Saheb. The delegation not only offered a chadar on the tomb of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti but also prayed for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. A Pakistani pilgrim said that there is no difference between India and Pakistan, there is only a fence in between, everything else is the same. Coming here, we do not even feel that we are in India. He believes that unity is possible if the people of both the countries maintain love and affection for each other.
Symbol of India-Pakistan religious relations
On the occasion of Urs Mubarak, the pilgrims from Pakistan also expressed gratitude for the protocol of religious travel between India and Pakistan. He expressed hope from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to continue getting similar visas in future also. According to him, this journey of religious faith and brotherhood is a symbol of better relations between the two countries. This event is being considered an important example of promoting friendship and brotherhood between the Indian and Pakistani communities.
