Pakistan’s senior tennis player Talha Waheed has made his name in the Guinness World Record by performing a brilliant feat.
He has set a new world record for the most successful tennis services in a minute, which is a historic moment for Pakistan.
Earlier, the global honor was with American player John Perry, John Perry set a world record in 2019 with 42 successful services in a minute.
Talha Waheed is one of the leading senior tennis players in the country. He has won several national titles in 35 plus, 40 plus and 45 plus doubles categories, while also represented Pakistan internationally.
He has participated in the International Tennis Federation’s Senior World Rankings Tournament and his best world ranking is 144 in the 40 Plus doubles category.
Talha Waheed expressed his commitment to break the Guinness Book of the World Record when he learned the world record of 42 successful services set by the United States in 2019.
To achieve this goal, Talha Waheed did three months tough training and worked on each technical aspect. On November 8, 2024, according to the principles set by the Guinness World Records in Lahore, he tried to make his formal record.
His hard work and commitment came to light on March 10, 2025, when Guinness World Records formally recognized his new record and declared him a world record holder.
Talha Waheed has been congratulated by Pakistan. Sadar PTF Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, Secretary General Colonel Ziauddin Tufail and other officials and fellow players have termed the success as an important milestone for Pakistan tennis.
Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi says that the success of Talha Waheed is a unique achievement and it is not easy for any player to make a place in the Gin Book of the World.
Other officials of the Pakistan Tennis Federation have also expressed their best wishes for their future, encouraging Talha Waheed on this historic achievement and said that this feat is a moment of pride for Pakistan and will further help promote tennis in the country.
