
Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan has said that pink salt born in Pakistan reflects the country’s natural resources and cultural heritage.
Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan addressed an important press conference on the occasion of the Expo 2025 Osaka during an official visit to Japan, attended by more than 43 domestic and foreign media organizations.
The press conference was held after a long engagement throughout the day, in which Jam Kamal Khan met with representatives of the Japan Association for 2025 World Exports and visited several national pavilions. During a press conference held in Expo Media Room, the Federal Minister for World Trade Innovation and Disputes of Pakistan. He also highlighted the importance of Pakistan Pavilion, titled “Universe in a Grain of Salt”, which reflects the country’s natural resources and cultural heritage.
He also invited the international community to observe this unique pavilion.
The Federal Minister lauded the cooperation of the Japan Association, saying that without his support, the dream of Pakistan Pavilion would not have been possible to transform it into a reality. This cooperation has been helpful in turning our vision into a living experience.
He said the reaction of guests from all over the world has been very encouraging. He emphasized the huge capacity of value editions in Pakistan’s exports and said that especially in the textile sector, Pakistan mentioned emerging sectors such as the lead, leather, surgical equipment and sports equipment.
He described Pakistan’s skilled youth in the agricultural sector, especially rice exports and the ICT sector as a valuable asset to the global market. Jam Kamal Khan said that pink salt is not just a product but an experience and our natural resources. We are working on innovation and sustainable use to enhance its global presence.
At the end of the press conference, the Minister of Commerce invited Japan Association members and global guests to attend Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrations on August 14, 2025 and attend the next food testing and trade exhibitions.
He emphasized that this expo is not just a display of nations but a source of dialogue in terms of ideas, cultures and future. Pakistan is ready for full participation and cooperation in this dialogue.
