India France Relations: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going on a three -day visit on the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. During this time, he will co-head the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit to be held on Tuesday (February 11). The summit will discuss the challenges related to AI and its possible threats. After this, PM Modi and President Macron will also address the India-France CEO Forum which will include the top industrialists of both countries.
On February 12, PM Modi and President Macron will pay tribute to the Indian soldiers who were martyred in the First World War. During this visit, India’s new Consul General Embassy will also be inaugurated in Marsay. Apart from this, there will be a delegation level talks between the two leaders in which strategic partnership, defense cooperation and strengthening of business relations will be discussed.
Leaders and tech experts from all over the world will be involved in AI Summit
This AI summit will include leaders from all over the world, technology experts and industry celebrities. Representatives of 80 countries including US Vice President JD Vance, European Commission Chairman Ursula Van Der Leyen, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Microsoft President Brad Smith and Google CEO Sundar Pichai will be part of the summit. Chinese President Xi Jinping is sending his special messenger to this conference. The purpose of this meeting is to determine global policies for the correct use of AI.
Technical conflict increased from China’s ‘Deepcik’ AI tool
The increasing competition between America and China regarding AI technology can be an important issue of this conference. The conflict between Beijing and Washington over technical supremacy has increased due to China’s low -cost AI tool ‘Deepcik’. Earlier, at the 2023 AI Summit in Britain, 28 countries took a non-negotiable resolution to deal with AI risks. This meeting to be held in France is expected to take important decisions on safe and moral use of AI.
