LAHORE: Amid the incidents of violence towards ladies coming to mild back-to-back, one other involving the alleged gang-rape of a mom and daughter duo in Chung, Punjab, surfaced as two suspects within the case have been arrested, Geo News reported Monday.
According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Investigations Shariq Jamal, the prime suspect, who’s a rickshaw driver, is accused in two different rape circumstances registered in Nawab Town and Haveli Lakha police stations.
The police instructed Geo News that the case towards the offence was registered on the affected lady’s grievance, who accused a rickshaw driver and his companion of gang-raping her and her 15-year-old daughter throughout the neighborhood of the Lahore Development Authority Avenue.
The victims, on their method to Lahore from Mailsi, received off on the Thokar Niaz Beg Flyover, the place they boarded a rickshaw to go to a relative’s home in Officer’s Colony, stated the police.
However, the accused rickshaw driver drove them [victims] to a abandoned place near LDA Avenue, violated them together with his confederate, and snatched their cellphones and Rs15,000 money.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar has sought a report concerning the incident from the Punjab inspector basic of police, ordering that no effort must be spared in offering justice to the victims.
