A town in Poland has announced that about 200 people have set a Guinness World Record for spending time in a pool filled with ice and water.
The final number of participants from the Polish city of Manszdroje was not disclosed, but officials said they were confident that around 200 participants from across the country would hold the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest ice swimming relay. There were enough to take.
Each participant who came to set the record spent a few minutes in the ice-water pool before inviting other swimmers into the pool.
Among the organizers of the effort is Katarzyna Jakubowska, who holds the record for the longest time (3 hours, 6 minutes and 45 seconds) in a container filled with ice.
