Pompeii fresco puzzle to get assist from robots

The metropolis of Pompeii was destroyed when Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79AD.

While a lot of the location was nicely preserved, many particulars about life within the metropolis have been misplaced, together with a number of the constructing’s vibrant frescoes.

Thousands of those fresco fragments are at present in storage on the web site’s archaeological park and now a staff at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice are creating robots to analyse the items with the goal of finally piecing them collectively.
