Prime Minister’s participation in FBR review meeting after returning from 27-hour Saudi visit

Islamabad:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, instead of resting after returning home from a 27-hour visit to Saudi Arabia, went straight to the FBR review meeting.

In the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed about the digitization of FBR, and told that the work of video analytics of the sugar industry has been completed.

Officials of FBR informed the Chief Minister that for tax collection from small businesses, Tegetal Invoicing mobile phone application has been developed which will be introduced by the end of this month.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister directed that the digitization work of the FBR department should be completed by December 31 and issued an order to complete the video analytics work of the cement industry as well.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister said that the digitization of FBR is a milestone in the government’s major economic reforms, and its positive effects are beginning to show.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif further said that the fruits of good policies and timely decisions have started to emerge, which will prove useful for the country’s economy.
