Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has praised the security forces for their successful operations against the terrorists of Fattana-ul-Khawarij in Lakki Marwat district, Karak district and Khyber district.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister praised the security forces for killing a total of 30 Kharji terrorists in these operations.
He said that the entire nation stands with the security forces in the war against terrorism, and is committed to the complete elimination of all forms of terrorism from the country.
It should be remembered that yesterday security forces killed 30 Khawarij in 3 separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), security forces killed 30 Khawarij during three separate operations in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on January 24 and 25.
An intelligence-based operation was conducted on information about the presence of Khawarij in district Lakki Marwat. During which the security forces effectively targeted the hideouts of the Khawarij and killed 18 Khawarij while 6 were arrested in injured condition.
The second intelligence operation was carried out in Kirk district where 8 Khawarij were killed in an exchange of fire and the third clash took place in Bagh general area of Khyber district where security forces killed 4 Khawarij.
As a result of two-way firing in the Bagh, among those who were killed were Kharijite leader Azizur Rahman alias Qari Ismail and Kharijite Mukhlis, while 2 Kharijites were injured.
According to ISPR, arms and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of the slain Khawarij while the slain terrorists were involved in the killing of innocent civilians.
According to the statement, clearance operations are underway to eliminate any remaining Khawarij in the area, and the Pakistan Army is determined to completely eradicate the scourge of terrorism from the country.
