Sindh Higher Education Commission has elected Professor Sarosh Lodhi as Chairman of the Charter Inspection and Evaluation Committee.
The election was held in the selection board recently under the commission, after which a letter was written to the relevant security agencies for the acquisition of the NOC in connection with the appointment of Dr. Sarosh Lodhi.
According to sources in the Home Department, clearance has also been received from an organization.
It may be recalled that the Charter Inspection and Evaluation Committee has been responsible for assigning the private universities and certificates in Sindh (degree award) to the charter and their monitoring and equipment, while some time ago, when the committee was started under the auspices of Sindh HEC.
Former Vice Chancellor Liaquat Medical University Dr. Noshad Sheikh has been its acting chairman for some time, after which the post has been vacant and now the candidates who were shortlisted through interviews after the advertisement were Professor Sarosh Lodhi first and Dr. Fateh Murree.
It is to be remembered that Dr. Sarosh Lodhi has recently retired from the post of Vice -Chancellor of NED University, which has been selected through the selection board, which included commission chairman Dr. Tariq Rafi, secretary Moin Siddiqui, commission members, representative SNNGDA.
It should be noted that if the HEC Commission’s approval will be received from the security agencies, the notification will issue a notification of the decision.
