PSL 10: Karachi Kings beat Peshawar Zalmi by 23 runs

Karachi Kings defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 23 runs in the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, which resumed after the situation was tense due to Indian aggression.

In the match played in Rawalpindi, Peshawar Zalmi’s team scored 214 runs for 5 wickets in pursuit of 238 in the stipulated 20 overs.

Zalmi’s captain Babar Azam was out for 94. Saim Ayub 47, Tom Kohler-Cadmor 20, Mohammad Harris 9 and Max Breast were dismissed for 7.

Ma’ad Siddiqat 19 and Hussein Talat returned the unbeaten pavilion with 12 runs.

Abbas Afridi took 2 wickets while Hassan Ali and Mir Hamza took 1 wicket.

Earlier, the Karachi Kings batted first at the invitation of Peshawar Zalmai and scored 237 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Captain David Warner was the leading scorer with 86 runs. James Vince 72, Irfan Khan Niazi 2 and Ben McDermot were out for 0.

Khushdal Shah and Mohammad Nabi scored 43 and 26 runs, respectively, while playing aggressive innings.

Luke Wood took 2 wickets while Arif Yaqub and Ali Raza took 1 wicket from Peshawar Zalmi.
