‘PSL to be again stronger than ever’: Shahid Afridi

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) can be again and stronger than ever, former skipper Shahid Afridi mentioned Thursday  after the event was put-off. 

The feedback got here after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) indefinitely postponed the sixth-edition of the PSL because of a COVID-19 outbreak reported within the event’s ‘bio-secure’ bubble in Karachi.

“Despite a challenging situation, I feel the PSL could have been completed even with only local/young players involved,” the previous skipper, who is part of Multan Sultans’ squad, mentioned.

The hard-hitting batsman mentioned that the event was all about nurturing new expertise. “The tournament was very entertaining and provided quality cricket to fans around the world.”

“I fully back the PSL and IA it will come back stronger than ever,” he mentioned.

However, he urged the folks to take care and observe the security measures because the virus was nonetheless round.
