Lahore:
The Punjab Police have sent the names of 57 criminals to the Ministry of Home Affairs to set a price for serious crimes including terrorism, kidnapping for ransom.
The police officials have said that the recommendations received by the district vivants have been forwarded to the interior department, the price of the accused’s head should be fixed from 5 lakh to 50 lakh rupees.
According to the police officials, the Punjab Police wanted the accused in 122 head money cases in the past years and the total price of the heads of these accused has been fixed at 6 crore 51 lakh.
Punjab Police has arrested 785 accused so far, the total value of the arrested accused is Rs 37 crore.
According to the officials, more than 23 crores have been distributed among the informant police officers on behalf of the concerned branch, while more than 6 crores will be released soon in 180 cases.
