Lahore’s Anti -Corruption Court reserves judgment on Hamza Shahbaz’s victory in the Ramadan sugaral corruption case.
Anti -Corruption Court Judge Sardar Mohammad Iqbal Dogar submitted Ramadan Sugar Mills reference against Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz. The court reserved the verdict on the victory of Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz. The verdict will be heard on February 6.
Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz’s lawyer Amjad Pervez took the stand that a directive was issued for the dirty drain at the request of Member Punjab Assembly Maulana Rahmatullah. The project was approved by the Punjab Assembly. Hamza Shahbaz’s role in the director’s issuance cannot be discussed on assumptions. The engineer had concluded that the dirty stream was applied to benefit Ramadan Sugar Mills. This case is made on a political basis. There is no need to summon the witnesses.
“We have no witnesses to present,” said Mohammad Wasim, of the prosecution. All the witnesses’ statements have been recorded. All the evidence is applied to the file. In this case, seven witnesses’ statements have been recorded. The plaintiff Zulfiqar Ali has recorded the statement that he did not make any request. The statement stated that in 1991, there was no knowledge of the affidavit to make the dirty drain at its own expense.
The court said in a dialogue with a public prosecutor, “What do you say whether other witnesses should have statements?” The public prosecutor said that the relevant MPAs in it died. All the witnesses are official. Many witnesses in this case are irrelevant. By my calculations, the drain route is right. The arguments were completed by the government lawyer in the court. The court adjourned the hearing till February 6.
