Controversy has arisen even before the release of Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh’s new film ‘Dhurandhar’. The parents of Ashok Chakra awardee martyr Major Mohit Sharma have filed a petition in the Delhi High Court. Through this petition, it has been demanded that the release of ‘Dhurandhar’ be immediately banned.

In the petition in the High Court, it has been claimed that this film seems to be influenced by his son’s life and the film producers have not taken any permission from him for this.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Indian Army and the director and producer of the film have been made parties in the petition.

Dhurandhar is inspired by a true incident

Watching the trailer of Dhurandhar, it becomes clear that the story of this film is based on the background of India-Pakistan intelligence war. Anti-terrorism operations and intelligence operations are shown in it. Director Aditya Dhar has said on a public platform that this movie is inspired by a real incident.

From the trailer it seems that Ranveer Singh is playing the role of an undercover agent in Pakistan or an Indian Army soldier. Regarding this, the parents of Major Mohit Sharma have claimed that this story is inspired by their son’s story.

Star cast of ‘Dhurandhar’

Dhurandhar’s director is Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh will be in the lead role. Sara Arjun will be seen as the lead actress with him in the movie. Apart from this, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshay Khanna and R Madhavan will also be seen in important roles in ‘Dhurandhar’. However, when Ranveer Singh’s looks in this film went viral, social media users started speculating that he was playing the role of martyr Major Mohit Sharma.

Who is martyr Major Mohit Sharma?

It is known that Major Mohit Sharma had infiltrated into Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist group in the name of ‘Iftikhar Bhatt’. He was martyred during an anti-terrorist operation in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. Mohit Sharma is known for his undercover operations.
