Chief Minister Punjab canceled the contract of the Chahan Dam Water Supply Project worth billions of rupees in Rawalpindi.
The contract of the 20 billion 40 million worth of association development bank funded project will be re -tender, the contract of Lot 2 and Lot 3 was awarded to a foreign company for 20 billion 40 crore.

The Project Steering Committee has suggested that the Chief Secretary Punjab take necessary action against the officers responsible for the contract award.
On the directives of the Chief Minister Punjab, every foreign funded project will now be reviewed every three months in the project steering committee, Rawalpindi will get 12 million gallons of extra water daily after completion of the project of Lot 2 and Lot 3, Lot 1 and Lot 4 will get 5 million gallons of water daily.
Lot 1 contract 6 billion 36 million China Construction Third Engineering was awarded the award in the Pakistani company’s joint venture, the contract of Lot 4 has been allotted 7 billion 19 million MS Metera mine BDL and Turkish company Five H Antit.
The total value of Lot 1 to 4 contract is Rs 33 billion 75 crore, the full funding of the Dream Project is the loan funding of 33 billion 75 crores of development bank, the Water and Sanitation Authority is the Executive Agency of the Wasa Rawalpindi Dream Project.
