For the first time in Punjab, major reform measures are being taken by the government regarding traffic.
According to the details, 20 major reforms have been made in the 60-year-old Traffic Act in Punjab with the latest amendments.
According to the reforms, now in Punjab, if any vehicle is repeatedly challaned, then the vehicle will be auctioned. Government vehicles are not above the law, government vehicles violating the rules will be heavily fined.
In Punjab, 30 days have been given to end the violation of one-way while the remodeling of the U-turn will make the roads safe and orderly.
It has been agreed to immediately provide dit to the families of those who died in accidents and if there is no proper parking, there will be no marriage hall. Marriage halls have been instructed to arrange parking.
There will be a strict crackdown to end under-age driving in Punjab. In case of driving under the age, the owner of the vehicle can be jailed for up to 6 months.
Across Punjab, it has been asked to stop riding on the roof of the bus, a crackdown has been ordered in this regard. In order to improve traffic and public safety, Ching Chi rickshaws will be completely banned on five model roads of Lahore.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that the vehicle going to another city will face action if it arrives early at high speed. Traffic issues will have to be improved in all cities including Lahore. There should be no discrimination, everyone should be fined for violation.
