Russia, Ukraine’s three -day ceasefire end, offering Putin’s direct negotiations

The three -day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine has ended, after which Russian President Vladimir Putin made a new offer of direct talks to Ukraine.

According to a foreign news agency, direct peace talks between Russia and Ukraine will be held in the Turkish city of Istanbul on May 15 and no pre -condition will be imposed, Russia wants a peaceful solution to the problem, but this is possible only if both sides are willing to negotiate seriously.

According to President Putin, “We want a solution that can establish lasting peace in the region, but it is important that Ukraine also sincerely come to the negotiating table.”

Turkish authorities, on the other hand, have also confirmed the hosting talks, saying they are once again ready to play a role in mediation between Russia and Ukraine. “We hope these talks will end tensions in the region and protect human lives,” a Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman said.

Although no major clashes were reported on the front during the three -day ceasefire, the parties must have accused each other of small -scale violations.
