Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin has reiterated his commitment to success in Ukraine, saying that as the Soviet Union defeated the Nazis in World War II, Russia will win Ukraine.
He made this statement during a grand military parade held on Red Square in Moscow, in which more than 24 world leaders, including Chinese President Xi Jinping, attended.
More than 11,000 soldiers participated in the parade, including 1,500 personnel who have fought in Ukraine. On this occasion, modern tanks, drones and other military equipment were also displayed.
Putin said: “Russia will always stand as an unmanaged wall against fascism, rosophobia and hostility.”
Putin called the Russian operation in Ukraine a “special military operation”, once again named the campaign “de Nazeration”, which was rejected by Ukraine and Western countries.
Strict security arrangements were made throughout Moscow for security concerns. Mobile internet was turned off while snipers were deployed on the sides of the Red Square.
After the parade, Putin also met with North Korean top military officials, about which Russian media claimed that he helped to recover the Korsts region from Ukraine.
