Russian jail officers fired amid probe into surprising movies, purporting to point out rape & torture of detainees in safe hospital

Four jail officers in Russia’s Saratov area have been dismissed amid rising outrage over harrowing footage launched by a human rights group that reportedly exhibits employees abusing inmates at a penitentiary tuberculosis hospital.

“If the authenticity of these materials is confirmed, then, of course, this is a pretext for a serious investigation,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Wednesday, stressing that “first we must quickly, but calmly, establish the authenticity of these materials.”

It is reported that the leaked movies make up a bigger set of information which have been supplied by a Belarusian whistleblower who allegedly served time within the Saratov facility.
