1.Real name of the accused
The person who attacked Saif Ali Khan tried to mislead the police by giving different names. The accused first revealed his name as Vijay Das and then Mohammad Aliyan. Police said that his real name is Shariful Islam Shahzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir. The age of the attacker is said to be 30 years.
2. The attacker is not an Indian, but a Bangladeshi
The accused is not a citizen of India, he is a Bangladeshi. He is a resident of village Rajbaria, police station Nalcity, Jhalokati district of South Bangladesh. This district is said to be about 2112 kilometers away from Mumbai. The accused had come to India illegally only 5-6 months ago.
3.Why did the accused go to Saif’s house?
The attacker has confessed that he had gone to Saif Ali Khan’s house with the intention of stealing. He did not know that the house belonged to the actor. After the incident, he was continuously watching news channels and tracking the channels. He had also switched off his phone due to fear of arrest.
4. Police got the address of the accused from here
To search for the accused, Mumbai Police not only checked the CCTV footage of the incident or its surrounding days but also scanned the CCTV footage of 10 to 15 days before. During the scanning of this footage, a footage of DN Nagar area of Andheri came in front of Mumbai Police in which a bike rider is dropping a person in DN Nagar area. When it was analyzed closely, it was revealed that the person who was getting down from the bike was Saif Ali Khan’s attacker. After which the details of that bike’s number were extracted and the police started getting hints one after the other.
5.The attacker was preparing to flee to Bangladesh
When the accused came to know that the police was searching for him, he was preparing to flee to Bangladesh. When his picture appeared in the media, the accused’s prosecution advised him to surrender.
6.What work did the accused do?
The accused worked as a housekeeping worker at Ricky’s Bar in Thane. He was working at different places in Mumbai and Thane for the last seven-eight months, recently he was working at a construction site with a contractor named Pandey.
