ISLAMABAD: SAPM on Finance and Revenue Dr Waqar Masood has resigned from his submit on Tuesday after growing variations with Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin, Geo News reported.
Sources aware about the event mentioned that the variations between them grew over the International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme.
Masood needed the federal government to implement the IMF circumstances as per the cash lender’s programme whereas the finance minister was of the view that Pakistan will not be capable of implement these circumstances.
Tarin was in favour of negotiations with the IMF to acquire some leisure from the cash lender. On the opposite hand, Masood was of the view that his suggestions as SAPM on income are being ignored.
He despatched his resignation to the prime minister Tuesday, and till it’s accepted, will proceed to work in his official capability, the report added. However, Tarin has alleged that Masood will not be taking him into confidence on essential issues regarding finance.
So far, neither of the 2 has publicly spoken concerning the resignation.
