Pakistan Champions Trophy winner Sarfraz Ahmed was given the team director of PSL’s leading franchise Quetta Gladiators.
Franchise owner Nadeem Omar says Quetta Gladiators are one of the key roles of the franchise since the start of the PSL 2019 title. Sarfraz led the captain’s franchise in a good way, hopefully he will do the same as a director.
He said that former Test captain Moin Khan as head coach and Sarfraz Ahmed will be an asset to us as team director. There was no better choice for us than Sarfraz Ahmed. Sarfraz Ahmed is the life of the franchise and we cannot leave them. The franchise played the final in 2016 and 2017 under the captaincy of Sarfraz.
Sarfraz Ahmed announced his separation from Quetta Gladiators before the 10th edition. Sarfraz Ahmed was the first part of the players draft, but no team was selected by him. Sarfraz Ahmed was later appointed Quetta Gladiators as coach.
It should be noted that Sarfraz Ahmed has been associated with Quetta Gladiators since the beginning of the League. They were released by the franchise earlier this month.
Sarfraz played 86 matches for Gladiators and scored 1525 runs at an average of 29.32 with the help of 7 half centuries.
