Saudi Arab On Palestinian Displacement: Saudi Arabia has rejected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s controversial remarks, indicating the displacement of Palestinians. The controversy began when during an interview on News Channel 14, Host accidentally mentioned the Saudi kingdom instead of Palestinian state. Netanyahu gave a funny reaction to this, but this light-hearted statement created resentment in Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries.

Following this comment, the Saudi Foreign Ministry issued a statement, in which Netanyahu’s comments were clearly rejected. Saudi Arabia said in its statement that it is like not respecting their historical and legal relations with Palestinians. The Saudi Foreign Ministry also said that Netanyahu’s remarks are an example of not understanding their duties towards the association between Saudi land and Palestine. The ministry made it clear that Saudi Arabia would not tolerate any kind of objectionable remarks about the Palestinian state.

Condemnation of other Arab countries
Countries like Egypt and Jordan also condemned Netanyahu’s comments. Egypt called it a violation of Saudi sovereignty, while Riyadh appreciated the support of his brotherhood countries against these comments. It was emphasized that Saudi Arabia and its allies reject any attempt to normalize relations with Israel without the establishment of the Palestinian state.

Controversial proposal of Donald Trump
The situation came to light when a controversial motion was made by former US President Donald Trump. Trump suggested that the US could capture the Gaza Strip and make it “Riviera of the Middle East” by displacing Palestinians elsewhere. The proposal was strongly criticized by Arab countries, which was also rejected by Saudi Arabia immediately.

Trump also claimed that Saudi Arabia was not emphasizing the creation of Palestinian state to normalize relations with Israel. But Saudi Arabia also dismissed the statement and reiterated that no diplomatic relations with Israel would be established without Palestinian state.

Saudi Arabia’s stance and strategic message
Saudi Arabia clearly reiterated that it would always stand in favor of the establishment of an independent Palestinian kingdom and is unlikely to establish a relationship with Israel without it. This statement re -established Saudi Arabia’s stand, which is in support of Palestinian freedom. The Saudi Foreign Ministry said, “The extremist mentality that occupy does not understand what the Palestinian sector means for the people of Palestinine and the Palestinian sector for its dutiful, historical and legal connection with that land.”

Gaza struggle and current situation
There has been a huge devastation in the area due to the ongoing Israel-Hamas struggle in Gaza. More than 47,000 Palestinians have been killed so far since the attack on Israel by Hamas on October 7, 2023. During this attack, Hamas also took over 250 Israeli citizens hostage, which further increased the struggle. In addition, the invasion of Israel in the Gaza Strip has led to a disastrous situation in the region, which has worried many countries.

Saudi Arabia has dismissed the controversial comments of Israel and Netanyahu, clarifying the support of its Palestinian state.
