Riyadh: US President Donald Trump has said in his visit to Saudi Arabia that recognizing Saudi Arabia to Israel would be a historic breakthrough, and that would be a source of respect for him.
Addressing the Investment Forum in Riyadh, Trump said he had hope, desire and dream that Saudi Arabia should restore relations with Israel soon and join Ibrahim.
Trump said: “This will be a big and positive step for the future of the Middle East.”
Trump also revealed that he had decided to remove the sanctions imposed on Syria after meeting with Saudi Wali Mohammed bin Salman, so that the people there could be given a new opportunity.
Referring to Iran, Trump said: “I want to deal with Iran for peace, if he loses the opportunity, strict sanctions will continue.”
Regarding Gaza, President Trump said that the treatment of the people there is unimaginable and they are working to end the war soon.
Trump made an important revelation that the historic ceasefire between Pakistan and India was possible with US intervention. He said: “We asked the two countries to stop the war, to trade instead of nuclear missiles.”
During the visit, $ 142 billion worth of defense agreements were signed between the United States and Saudi Arabia. According to Arab media, the purchase of F-35 warplanes was also discussed, but the final decision has not yet been made.
Energy, minerals, space research, health and economic cooperation agreements were also set between the two countries.
