Service suppliers can now test vaccination standing of a person on CoWIN portal with consent

The Union Health Ministry has activated a service on the CoWIN portal that enables anybody to test a person’s vaccination standing with the individual’s registered cellular quantity and title, adopted by an OTP for consent.

The service might be utilised by a service supplier — personal entities akin to travel businesses, workplaces, employers, leisure businesses or authorities businesses akin to IRCTC — for whom verifying an individual’s vaccination standing is important for facilitating a service requested by the citizen, an official stated.

“Now download the fully/partially vaccinated badge from CoWIN ( & share it with your friends on all your social platforms! Encourage your family and friends to follow you and #FightCovid,” National Health Authority CEO R S Sharma stated in a tweet.

The service is being constructed to assist residents who might not have the vaccine certificates out there in digital or paper kind for availing a requested service and might help the service supplier to confirm the vaccination standing/vaccination digital report of the citizen as per the authorised permission of the requesting entity.

The service helps in verifying the vaccination standing of people. The service might be utilised by travel businesses and assist making travel secure for people by permitting travel just for vaccinated people.

Employers can use this service to confirm vaccination standing of staff and resume the capabilities in workplaces, workplaces, and many others.

This service will assist in resuming and catalysing the financial actions in nation, the official stated.
