Seventeen die when lightning strikes marriage ceremony occasion in Bangladesh

At least 17 individuals had been killed and greater than a dozen injured on Wednesday when lightning struck a marriage occasion on a ship in northwestern Bangladesh, officers stated.

The lightning hit because the boat reached the financial institution of the Padma river in Shibganj city because the wedding-goers made their approach to the bride’s home, police official Farid Hossain stated.

“We have information of 17 people who died and several others were admitted to hospital,” Hossain stated.

Fourteen individuals had been injured and brought to hospital, Fire Service official Meherul Islam stated. The bridegroom was amongst these damage.
