Earlier, Punjab police arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Usman Dar and different celebration employees forward of a scheduled rally within the space.

Police entered the venue of PTI public assembly claiming that the district administration had not allowed the celebration to carry a public assembly at CTI Ground in Sialkot.

Upon resistance by PTI employees, police resorted to tear fuel shelling and baton-charge in an effort to disperse PTI employees.
