Bollywood singer Shreya Ghoshal had a live concert in Cuttack, Odisha on Thursday. There was an uproar in his concert being held at Bali Yatra Maidan in the city. Thousands of fans had gathered to watch Ghoshal’s performance at the conclusion of Bali Yatra Utsav. During this, a stampede-like situation arose in which one person was injured.
According to PTI, district administration officials said that when Shreya Ghoshal arrived to perform, a large number of people rushed towards the stage and there was chaos. Due to this, Shreya’s concert had to be stopped for some time. But later the police brought the situation under control and after that it was started again.
A stampede-like situation was avoided.
A person became unconscious amid the scuffle that took place at Shreya Ghoshal’s concert, after which he was taken to a nearby hospital. According to India Today, Police Commissioner S Dev Dutta Singh said, ‘A huge crowd had gathered in Cuttack. There was no space between one person and another. Those who were unable to stand in the crowd were taken out with the help of officials. There is no news of any kind of stampede or anyone being seriously injured.
‘One person suffered minor injuries…’
Singh told PTI, ‘However, there was no such untoward situation. It is true that there was a huge crowd there, but we handled it well. One person has suffered minor injuries and his condition is stable.
