Sickle cell illness: I needed to get folks speaking

Sickle cell illness is a severe and lifelong well being situation that predominantly impacts folks from African or Caribbean backgrounds.

Symptoms embrace bouts of ache, strokes, organ failure, and issues that can lead to diminished life expectancy.

Some think about it a ‘silent sickness’ as those that have the situation hardly ever discuss it or the ache that they stay with.

We converse to 25 year-old Chris who lives with the illness and began his personal initiative that goals to create dialog concerning the situation.
