The smuggling of more than 9 lakh liters of Iranian diesel was foiled in the operations of the Coast Guards.
During the last one month, operations were conducted against drug and diesel smuggling in Jiwani, Pasni and Othal areas of Balochistan, in which high quality hashish and other smuggled goods were recovered.
According to the spokesman of the Pakistan Coast Guards, during the last 15 days, the Pakistan Coast Guards, on the basis of their intelligence, foiled the smuggling of 9,15,440 liters of Iranian diesel while carrying out operations in various areas of southern Balochistan and Sindh.
Apart from this, the smuggling of 34.505 kg hashish from Othal and Jeewani was also foiled. Legal proceedings have been initiated after the said drugs have been seized.
The global market value of the seized drugs is around $0.57 million.
Apart from this, Pakistan Coast Guards during checking at their road check posts also made impossible the smuggling and delivery of various goods worth Rs 30.6 million, which include gutka, chalia, snuff, tires, electronic goods, foreign cloth and cigarettes.
