According to the Times of Israel, Omar’s father Malki Shem Tove said that his son’s pleasant behavior reflects his personality at the time of release. Shem Tove told Channel 12 in a video call, “Omar is lean but he is happy, happy and the most positive thinking in the world.”

He further said, “We didn’t even know what he would look like. He just came out and surprised all of us by shaking his smile, hand – this is really madness. He is Omar. He is the same child. . He dissolves with everyone. While his brother said, “He is always positive.”

According to the IDF, the hostages released by Omar Shem Tove, Eliya Cohen and Omar Venkart have spent 505 days in Hamas’s captivity and now they have crossed the border and entered Israel. The free hostage was brought to IDF service for physical and mental examination.
