Pakistan in Quaid -e -Azam Games ASports Board (PSB) has saved Rs 8 crore 12 lakh.
According to spokesman PSB, Rs 31 crore 17 lakh was allocated for the conduct of inter -provincial Quaid -e -Azam Games. Of these, Rs 21 crore 87 lakh was spent. This savings were possible with a completely transparent purchase process.
He said that for the first time in the history of PSB, all tenders were uploaded to Pepra and PSB websites. As a result of this rigorous rule, the bodies were opened, the process was completely fair and free of complaints.
Spokesman PSB said that PSB provided a total of Rs 4 crore 19 lakh to the provincial sports boards and departments. Of these, Punjab was given Rs 56 lakh 60 thousand, Sindh was given 87 lakh 70 thousand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 50 lakh 20 thousand and Balochistan 79 lakh 20 thousand. While Gilgit -Baltistan was given Rs 73 lakh, Azad Kashmir 37 lakh, Islamabad Rs 35 lakh.
The spokesman said that Rs 16 crore 5 lakh was spent to hold the event at the Sports Complex. These costs included 2725 players and officials establishment, food, local and intercontinental travel, logistics and cash prizes. The amount of Rs.1.63 million was spent on the purchase of various sports equipment and sports gear. Which were necessary for six -day competitions.
He said that 26 % budget saving goes to transparent e-tendering and strict financial discipline.
