Eddie Fernando Mora, better known as “morxxddie” on X, formerly Twitter, was arrested last week after allegedly uploading explicit content involving a child to a social media platform.
The 26-year-old from Opa-locka, Florida, faces charges of promoting the sexual performance of a child.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children alerted authorities on July 31, 2024, about a pornographic image that was uploaded from Miami-Dade County. The image, which depicted a boy believed to be under the age of 12 in a sexually suggestive pose, was traced back to Mora’s social media account.
Mora was located at his home and arrested on Friday. He invoked his right to remain silent during questioning. Mora was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where he is being held without bond.
Following his arrest, Mora’s X account, which had a large following, was removed. It is unclear whether the account was deleted by the platform or if Mora took it down himself due to intense backlash from his followers.
The case has drawn attention from the “Stan Twitter” community, a group of users known for their focus on celebrities, pop culture, and social media discussions.
