Synovial sarcoma prognosis: Encouraging others to belief their instincts

Jo Georgiou was identified with synovial sarcoma in 2021, 5 years after discovering a lump on her leg. She now has to have it amputated so as to eliminate the most cancers.

The 31-year-old from north London desires her story to encourage others to belief their instincts and push for care.

She mentioned: “I always feel like, if in your gut you know something is wrong with your body, something is wrong.”

Soft tissue sarcomas make up 1% of all cancers, with synovial being one of many rarest subtypes – about 80 folks a 12 months are identified with it in England.
