Peshawar:
Two different incidents of terrorism occurred in Swabi and Bannu districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Unidentified miscreants opened fire at the Jhanda checkpoint in Swabi police station in Swabi, while three personnel were martyred and two were injured in an attack on CTD personnel on Company Road in Bannu.
According to DPO Swabi Mohammad Azhar Khan, unknown persons opened fire at the flag post, but the policemen remained safe. Upon receiving the information, a heavy police force arrived at the scene and repelled the attackers in effective retaliation.

The attackers fled to the nearest forest, taking advantage of the darkness of the night.
According to the DPO, a search and strike operation is underway in the area and security has been tightened for the arrest of the miscreants.
A clash broke out between CTD police and armed men on Company Road in Domel area of Bannu, resulting in the death of three CTD personnel and two injured. Three civilians were also injured in the firing.

The martyrs and the injured were immediately shifted to KGN Hospital. As a Response, additional troops and armored vehicles were dispatched to Bannu police.
Regional police officers Bannu Sajjad Khan and DPO Bannu Saleem Abbas Kalachi reached the hospital and led the injured personnel and expressed solidarity with the martyrs’ families.
