Rawalpindi:
The 11 cases related to the May 9 tragedy will be heard in a special anti -terrorism court today, Judge Amjad Ali Shah will hear. Instead of a jail trial in the court, the court will take action in the courtroom.
According to sources, copies of the challan will be distributed to the remaining accused of all 11 cases during today’s hearing, while the founder of Pakistan Tehreek -e -Insaf (PTI) and Shah Mehmood Qureshi is likely to be provided with copies of the challan through lawyers.
After the distribution of copies of the challan, the date for the indictment will be fixed. These cases also include important cases such as attacks on GHQ Gate No. 4 and the Army Museum attack, which have been described as serious.
Today’s hearing will also appear in court, senior PTI leaders Sheikh Rasheed, Omar Ayub, Shabli Faraz, Usman Dar and Sherin Mazari.
Extreme security arrangements have been made around the courtroom, so as to deal with any untoward incident. Law enforcement agencies are alert and strict monitoring is being carried out on internal and external routes.
