The Diplomat Review: John Abraham was enraged at the question of a journalist at the press conference of his previous film Veda. The question of the journalist was that you are doing similar films. Story- This film is based on the real story. JP Singh is an Indian diplomat in Pakistan. One day a woman named Uzma Ahmed comes to Indin Embassy, who says that a person from Pakistan cheated her and kept her in her captivity and now she wants to go to her home to India. JP Singh helps him and how he does. This is the story of this film. In this, the then Union Minister Sushma Swaraj also helped her.
How is the film – This film is fine. The story that has been introduced in this film is good. That story should have come forward. People who do not know about this should know. However, this film does not entertain like Raji and Uri. There is a shortage of spices in the film and perhaps the reason is that the film is on diplomacy. But where what is done in the name of cinematic liberty, some more entertainment could be added to it. This film can be seen due to good performance. The film has been kept very simple and due to this the film looks boring somewhere, but even then this one time watch is sure.
Acting- Sadia Khatib is the life of this film. His work is quite good. After Rakshabandhan, he has got full opportunity to show acting in this film and he has also taken advantage of it. She is very beautiful. Here from their expense to dialogue delivery, they are tremendous. Looking at them, it seems why filmmakers do not see such talent. Cinema will also be good if filmmakers who promote such a skilled actress, promoting non -talent Napo Kids, will also be good for cinema.
John Abraham tries to do something new. However, by sticking the hair with oil and keeping the mustache, one becomes a diplomat. The way Vicky Kaushal became Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj or Randeep Hooda Sarabjit. The same charisma does not look in John’s look. His dole Sholay looks the same, just here he has worn a suit. Here John does not do action, diplomacy and his attempt should be praised. Kumud Mishra’s work is good but his role should have been a little bigger. Sharib Hashmi has done amazing work as usual, Revathi’s work is also good.
Direction- Shivam Nair has directed the film and Ritesh Shah has written the film. He has kept the film simple and has kept some more simple. If a few spices were added, the film would do better at the commercial level, but the story has been told directly here.
