Mexican professional wrestler and WWE star Rey Mysterio’s uncle Rey Mysterio Sr. has died.
Rey Mysterio Sr.’s death has been confirmed by family sources and a Mexican wrestling promoter.
Rey Mysterio Sr. has been involved in the wrestling industry for nearly 50 years. During his career he has been a part of prominent wrestling companies including Pro Wrestling Revolution, Tijuana Wrestling and the World Wrestling Association.
In addition to his extensive career, Rey Mysterio Sr. is known for training several wrestlers, including his nephew and three-time world champion Rey Mysterio Jr.
The cause of his death was not disclosed by the family. However, his father died a few weeks before his death.
