The father beat his 22-year-old daughter to death based on suspicion.
According to the police, an incident of murder of a daughter by a father has actually taken place in the Kahana Soi area of the provincial capital, Lahore. Spokesperson Edhi said in this regard that the father killed his 22-year-old daughter Samina with sticks over a domestic dispute.
An argument between the father and daughter over a domestic issue escalated, after which the father became enraged and assaulted the daughter with a stick, killing her on the spot.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to the mortuary after the completion of legal proceedings.
Later, SHO Kahna along with the police team took immediate action and arrested the accused from Azad Town. According to SSP Model Town Shahrabano Naqvi, the father killed his 22-year-old daughter on the basis of suspicion, the murder weapon has been recovered from the accused Aslam.
Suicide of 18-year-old girl in Sabzazar area
Meanwhile, an 18-year-old girl allegedly took her own life by consuming poisonous pills due to a domestic dispute in Saidpur area of Sabzazar in Lahore. According to the Edhi spokesperson, the deceased was identified as Aram.
The police and investigation agencies have reached the spot and collected the evidence and started the investigation of the suicide incident in view of various aspects while the body has been shifted to the mortuary.
