Bollywood film ‘Azaad’, which debuted Risha Thadani (Rafia Tandon’s daughter) and Aaman Devgan (Ajay Devgn’s nephew), failed miserably at the box office. The film earned only Rs 4.05 crore in the first weekend and on Monday the collection fell to Rs 60 lakh.
Despite Risha and Aman’s familial showbiz relationship, the film failed to impress the audience. According to film critics, the weak story and colorless script are the main reasons for this failure.
Veteran film analyst Taran Adarsh says the film’s story was lifeless and lacked drama and emotion. “The first part was completely uninteresting, and the second part picked up the story,” he said. But by then the audience was fed up.”
He said that in today’s age, fans prefer quality content instead of family relationships. The film industry has to focus more on the story and adopt innovative marketing strategies to introduce new faces.
According to Taran Adarsh, “Aaman Devgan gave a sincere performance and Risha looked confident, but both of them needed a better script.”
