The Finance Ministry has said that the Finance Minister did not say anything about raising the salaries and pensions of government employees. Such news is baseless.
In its statement, the Finance Ministry has said that Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb has not made any such announcement nor made a statement while addressing the floor of the National Assembly.
The Finance Ministry has stated in its explanation that in the address of the Finance Minister, no matter regarding the pay scales of government employees or their salaries, there was no talk.
The statement said that the Finance Ministry informed the Honorable House about the question raised by a respected member of the Assembly and informed the House that at present, the federal government employees were not reviewed for the next financial year, and their salaries and allowances were not considered.
Earlier, there were reports that Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb indicated the salaries and pensions of the employees in the next budget and said that there was no proposal to increase salaries and pensions in this budget.
Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb was submitted to the National Assembly and later in a written reply to the House said that there is no proposal to increase the salaries of government employees next fiscal, there is no proposal to review the allowances and pay scale of employees.
He further wrote that the issue of hiring and sailing is under consideration for the employees, but there is no proposal to increase the pension of federal government employees, but now the finance ministry has come out.
